2009 Volvo EC700CL Hydraulic Excavator Equipped with a complete KOCUREK Demolition Conversion. This machine has been through Shear Power Corp.'s shop for all necessary maintenance according to the current hours. A thorough Inspection, Cleaning, Testing, and Repair process was followed to ensure that the machine is in work ready condition upon completion in our workshop in order to offer a strong, reliable demolition machine to our customer.
Repairs Completed:
ENGINE:
Timing cover removed, and resealed (due to engine oil leak at head)
New rear main crankshaft seal installed.
Injector harness resealed at head
Valve cover gasket and crankcase vent o-ring replaced
Fuel injection pump o-ring replaced
Fan belts, idler, and tensioner unit replaced
Prior to purchase of machine the previous owner allegedly replaced the injector cups, and cylinder head gasket.
FUEL SYSTEM:
Fuel tank was completely drained, removed, and thoroughly cleaned.
Sight glass replaced.
Breather vent replaced.
Supply port seal replaced.
Screen in tank replaced.
COOLING SYSTEM:
All screens and covers were removed for thorough inspection & cleaning of the radiator, oil cooler, a/c condenser, Etc.
Replaced coolant reservoir, sensors, and cap
New anti-freeze used to fill to spec. with appropriate mix (%)
Oil cooler o-rings, hoses, and connection "bungs" replaced
REGULAR MAINTENANCE/SERVICING:
Final Drive oils changed
Swing gear oil changed in both units
Engine and Cabin air filters changed
Hydraulic filters changed (Tank return, Pilot, Suction, and Case Drain)
Hydraulic oil changed
Fuel filters changed & new fuel in tank after cleaning.
Engine Oil & Filter changed
All fittings greased
Swing ring and pinion gears inspected and greased as required
Pressure washer pump oil changed
NOTABLE REPAIRS COMPLETED:
Swing drive compensation valves resealed
Many new hydraulic lines throughout the entire machine
Resealed STUCCHI couplings
Main boom connection to machine frame was line bored, new bushings, and seals.
Hydraulic pump drive coupling (between engine and pump) replaced
Boom Cylinders Removed, and resealed
Boom cylinder frame bores line-bored, new bushings and seals installed in upper and lower bores.
New hour meter installed due to damaged glass and mount. (Hours were confirmed to be 8,971.18 in February, 2024 by Strongco using a laptop with the Volvo CE program)
All track frame bolts removed, cleaned, threads tapped, and lubricated.
*UHD Telescopic Demolition Boom*
The 35M High Reach Demolition Boom was thoroughly Inspected, and Tested just the same as the base machine. This front was installed onto the machine, and all functions were cycled to verify operation, and to identify any concerns.
Repairs Completed:
Arm Cylinder removed and resealed.
Bucket Cylinder removed and resealed.
Transport Joint lower bores Line-Bored to spec. & New bushings installed.
Transport Joint upper bores New bushings installed.
All hoses showing signs of damage, or leakage were replaced.
Energy Chain replaced with new to hold hoses at telescopic section.
Bushings & seals replaced at bucket linkage/attachment connection.
We will be hiring KOVA Engineering to complete a full inspection of the UHD boom to identify any cracks, or areas of concern. Shear Power Corp. will appropriately react to any concerns found, repairing as necessary prior to delivery.

The standard excavating boom can be installed in two configurations.
1) Straight Boom for Demolition work
2) Arch Boom for excavation, crushing, Etc..
This front comes with a cradle frame to store the boom when it is not in use. Using the hydraulic pin joint, this can be removed/installed in a short time with limited tools.
Repairs Completed:
Stick cylinder was Removed/Resealed.
Any hoses showing signs of damage due to wear or sun cracking were replaced.
Slight Play at Coupler/Bucket - No work was completed to repair the play in the coupler, pins, or bucket as we did not feel that it was worn to the point necessary vs the investment required to repair to original spec.
