Description
Clarke Equipment is a Marshall Dealer in Queensland. Marshall Spreaders are Australia's number 1 selling belt spreader.
The Marshall Multispread Spreaders provide Australian farmers with cost effective and efficient method of spreading a variety of fertilisers and seeds including granulated fertilisers such as Urea and Superphosphate, Lime, Gypsum, Dolomite, Manures, Sawdust, Sand and Seed.
The versatility, ease of use and solid construction of Marshall spreaders have led them to become Australia's number one selling spreader with over 8000 Marshall multispread units now in use throughout Australia in a range of applications from broadacre cropping, livestock enterprises to horticulture and vineyards.
The Marshall Multispread Spinner design is a result of Roesner Pty Ltd's on-going Spinner Research and Development programme.The goals of this programme are to develop a spinner design that enables;
Wider spread widths to reduce fertiliser, fuel and labour costs;
Accurate spread patterns that ensure correct placement of nutrients in the field, optimising
crop growth and minimising environmental run-off;
Simple machine setup across a range of fertiliser types.
A number of scientific techniques are used to design and test spinner designs prior to physical testing in real-life conditions. These techniques include High-speed Photography, Numerical Modelling, Bespoke Particle Collection Equipment and Physical Testing of fertiliser properties. Physical testing is carried out using the Australia Fertiliser Services Association (AFSA) FertCare testing regime.
The following table details the operating performance of the Type D spinner design currently in production.
Product
Maximum Spread Width*
Urea Up to 36m
DAP Up to 36m
Superphosphate Up to 36m
Sulphate of Ammonia (Granulated) Up to 24m
Sulphate of Ammonia (Powder Form) Up to 12m
Lime and Gypsum Up to 16m
Roesners on-going research is currently focused on the characterisation and performance testing of different fertiliser types; investigation into how variables such as wind speed and changes in fertiliser consistency affect spread patterns; and the correlation of spreader performance with crop yield for different soil types and climatic conditions.
