The bar underwent a complete overhaul in 2023, being stripped down to its bare essentials. This comprehensive rebuild took place approximately 4000 acres ago and included the installation of new W brackets, bushings, parallel arms, shanks, drives, meters, seed tubes, and a new alternator with a mount tailored for an 8R model. Moreover, all new hydraulic lines were installed, alongside a complete replacement of all electrical components, encompassing a backbone harness, all controllers. Enhancements were made to the functionality with the incorporation of Active Airbag Downforce equipped with 5 load sensors and Yetter up-down air row cleaners. Additionally, an onboard hydraulic compressor was installed to manage the air requirements. The disc openers are currently at 75%, and a single liquid 5-section system is in place, managed through a Deere rate controller with Redballs, variable rate orifices, Keetons and 360 bandits. Closing of the trench is being handled by SI finger-till closing wheels. A high-clearance drawbar hitch, and markers further finish out the planters specs.
