Farmall IH Cub & Cub Loboy 12 Volt Conversion Kit For sale is a brand new aftermarket Farmall IH Cub & Cub Lo boy 12 Volt Conversion Kit. It has everything you need to convert your 6 Volt system to a 12 Volt system. Included in this kit is: Mini 35 Amp 12 Volt Negative Ground Alternator w/Pulley 12 Volt Distributor Coil w/Mounting Bracket 2 Piece Alternator Bracket w/Mounting Hardware Wiring Instructions The 12 Volt 35 Amp Alternator is used to convert the 6 Volt system to a 12 Volt system. This can only be used on negative ground systems. The great thing about this alternator is the compact size. The alternator housing measures 4 1/2" in diameter and includes a 2 3/4" diameter pulley that uses a 1/2" wide belt. This is not a rebuilt unit, it is brand new. This is a 1 wire hook up alternator. Run a wire from the alternator through the ammeter to the positive side of the battery. You must rev the engine to 800-850 RPM in order to self-excite. This alternator works with magneto or distributor ignition. The 12 Volt distributor coil is a barrel style coil and is internally resisted. It includes the coil mounting bracket. The primary ohms resistance is 3.1 and the secondary ohms resistance is 9.6. The alternator bracket kit in this set is meant to used only with this alternator. This kit bolts directly on and does not require you to cut the hood You can re-use your existing belt (the belt will ride over the pulley but still work) or you can a wider pulley.
